Definitions
60 Hz Power Mode - The receiver is capable of locating
live power cables without the need of a transmitter
Current Direction - The receiver can display the direction of the
transmitter current. Great for congested areas.
Current Measurement - Measures transmitter current while locating the
target line. Helps indicate you are over the correct line and gives you a
idea of the quality of signal
Current Output - Displays the amount of current (mA's) that are being
generated
CPS Mode - Cathodic Protection Signal mode. For locating rectified
cathodically protected pipes and cables without a transmitter
Digital Depth - Depth is calculated by the receiver and displayed in Feet
& Inches
Fault Find - Allows a fault find A-Frame to be plugged into the receiver
for the quick location of damages on wires
GPS Compatible - The receiver is capable of transmitting locate
information to a external GPS receiver for utility mapping or data collection
Null Mode - A null or lowest response (with directional arrows) on the
receiver screen indicates you are over the line
OMNI Antenna - The receiver is equipped with a antenna for locating 3M or
OMNI location markers. These markers can be buried over spots that need to
be relocated like splices, buried vaults, plastic pipe.
Peak Mode - A peak response or the highest signal response on the
receiver screen indicates you are over the line
Radio Mode - The receiver is capable of locating lines that have live
radio signals without the need of a transmitter
Sonde Modes - Capable of locating a sonde or battery operated beacon that
can be pushed through empty duct or pipe
Web-Enabled - Update, upgrade or reconfigure your locator through the
Radiodetection website
